Software and websites, built and run in St. Louis.

We build and run our own products — Coop, hasfriends and Spin — and design fast, custom websites for small businesses.

01Products

Built here.
Run here.

Three products we own end to end — the design, the code, the servers, and the support inbox.

Good things, made right next door.

Coop is a hyperlocal marketplace. Buy from the bakers, growers and makers a few blocks away — not a warehouse across the country. Sellers turn what they make or grow into neighborhood income. Free for buyers.

The Coop web app: the market welcome screen, with photos of bread from nearby bakers
hasfriends 2 / 3

How tradespeople send each other work.

A referral network for working professionals. One page for your business, and one list of the pros you’d send your own mother to. Every business gets a free storefront at username.hasfriends.app; Pro adds a published list of trusted friends for $25 a year.

  • Free storefront
  • Pro · $25/yr
hasfriends.app: “Send more referrals. Get more back.” with a stack of referral cards

The DJ CRM your client’s mom can navigate.

Spin is a CRM and business management tool for DJs. Contacts, events, proposals, contracts, packages and add-ons, forms, playlists, automations, emails and tasks — in a user-friendly design that stays out of your way.

  • Contacts
  • Events
  • Proposals

02Web design

Sites for people who’d rather be working.

Custom websites for small businesses, built by hand — no page builders, no plugins to babysit. And because we build software for a living, the hard parts are part of the job: booking flows, live data, video, logins.

Wedding DJ · St. Louis

Cole’s own DJ site. A fast static build with market pages, real reviews, a venues-played list, and recent set lists published straight from the DJ software.

  • Set lists synced from DJ software
  • Booking form with email confirmations
  • Vendor directory
  • Per-market landing pages

Wedding film studio · St. Louis · Brand + site

Christian Koppel has filmed 400+ weddings. We built his brand from scratch, then the site: a “viewing room”, a full-screen film stage that docks beside the scrolling page, with films that play on hover or tap.

  • Full-screen film stage that docks as you scroll
  • Hover and tap playback
  • Brand built from scratch
  • Inquiry form with email confirmations

Beyond the brochure

The builds other shops turn down.

A template can do five pages and a contact form. When a site has to do something, we design and build that part too, on the same AWS and Cloudflare stack our products run on.

  • Booking and quote flowsMulti-step forms, availability checks, confirmations to both sides.
  • Live content from your toolsSet lists, menus, inventory, or schedules published from the software you already use.
  • Video and galleriesFilm stages, portfolios and proofing pages that stay fast on a phone.
  • Client logins and portalsAccounts, dashboards, order history, and the admin screens behind them.
  • Payments and checkoutDeposits, invoices, and products sold straight from the site.
  • IntegrationsCalendars, CRMs, email, maps, and the APIs that tie them together.

03Branding & design

A name, a mark, an app, and everything that carries them.

The same studio that designs Coop, hasfriends and Spin designs for clients. Mr. Filmthis started as a blank page: we built the brand first, then the site around it.

  • I

    Brand from scratch

For a new business, or one that never got a real identity. We start from what you do and who it’s for, and build the whole kit.

    • Logo and wordmark, with the variations you’ll actually need
    • Type, color and a short usage guide
    • Social profiles, business card and email signature
    • Every file in every format, yours to keep
    Start a brand
  • II

    Rebrand

You have a name people know and a look that’s holding it back. We keep what’s earned its place and redraw the rest.

    • Audit of where the brand shows up today
    • Refined or redrawn mark, type and color
    • A rollout plan so nothing goes stale or mismatched
    • Updated site, profiles and templates
    Plan a rebrand
  • III

    Brand + website

The full build: identity and a fast, hand-built site that launches together and matches on day one.

    • Everything in a brand from scratch, or a rebrand
    • A custom site, designed and built by us
    • Hosting set up on your own accounts
    • Launch, and a hand-off you can run yourself
    Start the full build
  • IV

    Custom app design

You have an app idea, or an app that’s hard to use. We design it the way we design our own: screens, flows and the system behind them, ready to build.

    • User flows and a clickable prototype
    • Every screen, for phone and desktop
    • A component library and design system
    • Build it with us, or hand the files to your team
    Design an app

Every project is quoted up front, as a fixed price for a fixed scope. Tell us what you need and we’ll reply with a plan and a number.

04The studio

A small studio with its own skin in the game.

Simple City Software is owned and run by Cole Coleman in St. Louis, Missouri. We build and run our own products, and we design websites, brands and apps for clients — the same way, with the same care.

How we work

  1. I

    Build it, then run it.

Every product here is one we ship, host, and support ourselves. That changes how you build.

  2. II

    Simple beats clever.

Plain pages, fast loads, and interfaces that don’t need a manual. It’s in the name.

  3. III

    Local first.

Made in St. Louis, for neighbors, tradespeople, DJs and the small businesses around them.

05Contact
